FISHING
Ludlow and its surrounding area offers a host of enjoyable fishing spots, including lakes, pools and rivers. The Teme is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest along its entire length. Its high water quality and its mainly undeveloped banks make the river an excellent habitat for fish. Wildlife is also plentiful, including otters, kingfishers, dippers and other species. The river through Ludlow is at its most picturesque, tumbling over a series of weirs beneath the town on one side, and the steep-sided, tree-covered Whitcliffe on the other, overlooked by the ruined castle and tall church tower.
