- Village Hall

A feature of the village is its stone built former schoolroom. Built in 1871 and used as a school until the nineteen thirties, the building had become semi-derelict. A group of enthusiastic villagers combined their efforts in order to convert the premises from what would have become a ruin into an asset. In 1994 there was an opportunity to raise funds via a grant from the district council. After much bureaucracy, many delays and a substantial amount of fund raising, the Chairman of the South Shropshire District Council officially opened the refurbished hall on July 11th 1998.

The hall is now used for private functions and village events, for both fund-raising and social purposes.
